Drill 4 Success and the Cadet Leadership Program would like to recognize Cadet David Everson III.

My name is **Cadet David Everson III**, and I am a transfer student from Smyrna High School. During my time at Smyrna, I was a member of the **United States Air Force Junior ROTC, the Smyrna Strike Eagles**, where I served as the **Drill and Ceremonies Squadron Commander**. In that role, I developed valuable leadership, discipline, teamwork, and communication skills while competing in multiple drill competitions throughout my high school career.

For more than three years, I have also been a cadet member of the **Civil Air Patrol, United States Air Force Auxiliary**. I currently serve as the **Cadet Commander of the Middletown Cadet Squadron**, where I have continued to develop my leadership abilities and learn the importance of responsibility, accountability, teamwork, and service. I am also a **Ceremonial Guardsman** and have had the opportunity to participate in Civil Air Patrol National Cadet Special Activities, including **soloing an aircraft**—an experience that strengthened my passion for aviation and reinforced my desire to pursue a career as a pilot.

My long-term goal is to serve in the **United States Air Force as a fighter pilot**. I understand that achieving this goal will require dedication, discipline, education, physical fitness, strong character, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. I am committed to developing those qualities throughout my education and military leadership experiences.

Outside of my military and leadership interests, I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring rural areas and trails, and hiking both independently and with others. I also enjoy exercising and have participated in a variety of sports throughout my life, including basketball, baseball, soccer, swimming, and track and field. These experiences have taught me the importance of perseverance, teamwork, commitment, and maintaining a positive attitude.

As I begin this new chapter at **Fairwinds Christian School and in the Cadet Leadership Program**, I hope to contribute the knowledge and experience I have gained through Air Force JROTC and Civil Air Patrol. In particular, I look forward to sharing my experience in **Drill and Ceremonies** and helping other cadets develop greater confidence, discipline, precision, teamwork, and pride in their accomplishments.

My goal is to help build a stronger cadet community at Fairwinds, strengthen our sense of pride and unity, and represent the values of the Cadet Leadership Program with professionalism and integrity.

I am excited about the opportunity to learn, lead, serve, and contribute to the Fairwinds community. I look forward to being part of a program that challenges cadets to become not only better leaders, but also better students, teammates, citizens, and people.

Yesterday, we brought an incredible week of camp to a close with an unforgettable field trip to the Dover AFB AMC Museum! ✈️🇺🇸

Our campers had the opportunity to step beyond the classroom and experience history firsthand as they learned about the mission, legacy, and rich history of Dover Air Force Base. They explored aircraft, heard stories of service and sacrifice, and gained a deeper appreciation for the men and women who have dedicated their lives to protecting and serving our country.

What a powerful way to end camp—learning, exploring, building memories, and inspiring the next generation of leaders!

This week was filled with knowledge, teamwork, discipline, leadership, and experiences our campers will carry with them long after camp is over. The memories may last a lifetime! 🇺🇸✈️

Today campers had a session on Personal Hygiene & Daily Habits. Campers were able to create a simple routine to help them stay clean, healthy, and confident. The key Life Skills learned today was responsibility, self care, time management, independence and respect for self and others. We ended our day with relay races to building morale and confidence!
