Stuart "Curt" Curtis Cole Obituary
Stuart Curtis “Curt” Cole, 78, Camden, Delaware passed away on April 30, 2026.
Curt was born on June 27, 1947, to Stuart Edward and Olive Louise (Ohs) Cole in Wyandotte, Michigan. After graduating from Roosevelt High School in 1965, he studied Accounting and Business at Eastern Michigan University.
He served his country in the US Army in Vietnam, declared 100% disabled Veteran and was given the proper welcome back via an Honor Flight in 2025.
Curt’s career started early with a paper route. As luck would have it, he met his wife, Theresa, fondly introduced as Mrs. Cole, while working at the Midwest Camera Repair on Oak Street in Wyandotte, MI. For majority of his career, he proudly worked as an Accountant and Business Manager with Scott Paper and then with DelDot and was humorously remembered for his many spreadsheets.
Curt was predeceased by his parents and sister, Ellen (Cole) De Munnik, brothers-in-law James De Munnik, Gerald Jr., (Teri) and Robert Bloomfield (survived by his wife Kathy) and is survived by his wife of 57 years, Theresa (Bloomfield) Cole, his daughters Michele (John) Marinucci and Kirsten (Bill) Capeless, his grandchildren Nicholas (Sammy) and Christopher (Britni) Marinucci and Valerie and Mason Capeless, and his great grandchildren Cece, Jameson, Parker Marinucci and Bentley Johnson. His older brother Norman (Janet) Cole and his brothers and sisters in law, Tom (JeriLyn), Mary Ann (Larry) Schrock, Rose Marie (David) Bilek, Peg (John) Babich, as well as many loved nieces and nephews.
He was a proud Mason, being entered 5/13/86, passed 6/24/1986, and raised 10/14/86. Curt was the Potentate of Nur Shrine in 2013 and was affiliated with numerous additional masonic organizations. He was very honored to be a Shrine Shepherd, helping numerous children and families across the eastern shore get transported to the Shrine Hospital for Children in Philadelphia.
One of his favorite ways to make the trip special included giving each child (and everyone else around them) a crisp $2 bill, earning him his beloved title of the “$2 bill guy.” He loved life and his famous saying was “you get one chance, so love what you do.”
