We are truly grateful to all that donated last week the coat drive. We were able to deliver roughly 50 coats to the elementary school this morning, with an average of 8 coats per size XS-XL for the kiddos! Almost all of the coats were brand new, or excellent used condition. Next up we'll deliver to the MS/HS!

Also, we believe we may be the weapon to defeat that pesky groundhog. Have a coat drive late in the season - winter leaves immediately! 😜

THANK YOU Douglass for your support! We love our generous community.

Day 1 of our coat drive, and you all filled the box! It was a sweet surprise and we're hoping to continue filling the box. The library will be open 9-2 today, so go through your closets, or maybe add an extra coat to your shopping cart! Thank you for your continued generosity and support! Please share!

Brr it's cold! While the first snow has already passed, the cold season is far from over, and with the generosity of our community, we can continue to care for and protect our students! Let's have a coat drive, starting tomorrow!

**January 29th - February 6th**

The Douglass Public Library will be a drop-off location for NEW and/or excellent, recently washed pet-free and smoke-free coats for students. We are asking for 3T through all adult sizes. If you'd like to make a monetary donation, our organization will use your gift to purchase sizes we didn't receive.

If you have a child who is not school-aged, or not currently in the Douglass school district, please reach out if you're in need of a warm coat!

Please share to help spread the word ❤️

Hi friends! We’ve got some action coming this week to present our donation to the museum! All yards are raked! What a project 😅

As for our winter X-games on Monday, we’re going to postpone until further notice. We want everyone to stay healthy and enjoy Christmas to the fullest! Some germs have been spreading around within our family and don’t want to be the cause of a Christmas belly ache.

We will be distributing the remaining collection of our food donations this week! If you have any extra items you’d like to rid of before Wednesday, let us know!

And lastly, if you know of a struggling family or individual who needs help finding resources or maybe just needs a small act of kindness, we would be happy to brighten someone’s day. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you think we can help.

Some really great things to be thankful for that our great community made happen in ONE day 🧡🤎🙏🏻

With the help of a generous Douglass family we were able to purchase large hams to give families. We also had multiple volunteers ready to step in to cook turkey’s if needed.

Our favorite Betty’s restaurant provided these adorable Thanksgiving baskets to also take to the families.

Our favorite Sweethangz restaurant gave all of our volunteers who raked leaves yesterday FREE cheeseburgers.

A youth entrepreneur donated her delicious and adorable snow globe cookies to give families with their Thanksgiving basket.

A friend and long time Douglass Bulldog mom helped deliver all 15 meals to every family.

A local business allowed us to utilize their dump trailer for LOADS of leaves. Also many people let us borrow rakes so we didnt have to purchase.

38 volunteers donated their time and energy to help serve residents and raise money for our museum.

The City of Douglass staff has been gracious throughout our food drive process to let us utilize space and also help manage the deliveries and stocking.

We’ve received donations from thoughtful residents to help us continue this offering.

For all of the above and more, we are so, so thankful. Happy Thanksgiving.
