During a recent Dodgeville Lions Club meeting, a special event occurred that we'd like to share.
On behalf of The Mineral Point Lions Club, Mary Philipps provided a generous donation to the Iowa County Empty Stocking Project.
We would like to thank all involved from Mineral Point for this donation.

A brief Project background... This is the 44th year the Dodgeville Lions Club has been responsible for the Iowa County Empty Stocking Project. Each year, gifts are purchased for children residing in Iowa County who may not otherwise have a Christmas gift. Last year, due to community generosity, 48 families with 101 children were serviced.
You can also make a donation to The Iowa County Empty Stocking Project.

A donation can be sent to:
Iowa County Empty Stocking Project
P.O. Box 213
Dodgeville, WI 53533

As with all donations to Lions, 100% is returned!

Shown are (L-R) Robin Digman - I.C.E.S.P. Chairperson: and Mary Philipps-Director from Mineral Point Lions Club (and has assisted with the project).

Again, we are thankful for this generous donation from The Mineral Point Lions Club!

For many years the Crowe's and the Digman's have worked together on many committees and humanitarian projects. Recently, Past President Lion Don was honored to present the Melvin Jones award (named for the Lions founder) to Lion Robin Digman. The Crowe's and Digman's are Great people and the Dodgeville Lions Club is proud to call these two families, our friends.

Pictured are Lion Don Crowe and Lion Robin Digman. Robin opted for a friendly hug, in lieu of handshake.

The Dodgeville Lions Club recently held a meeting at the Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin. Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin (LEBW) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization and team of professionals and volunteers, dedicated to the mission of restoring the gift of sight through recovery and transplantation of corneas, research to advance the knowledge and treatment of eye diseases, and education to increase donations. Their ultimate goal is to improve people’s quality of life through the gift of sight.

We would like to thank the LEBW for allowing us to tour the professional facility. A bigger THANK YOU goes out to Lion Adam Crowson for answering our questions and showing us the way around the facility. For those that haven't met Adam, yet... he's the best.
