Meet Koda, Meade’s school facility dog!

Koda is a 5-year-old Golden Pyredoodle who has been part of the Meade school community since the fall of 2021.

He helps students with emotional regulation, stress and anxiety relief, social skills, and comfort when they need it most. We last met Koda in 2023, and again this week, he’s still doing great work for the students and staff at Meade!

It’s easy to see why he’s considered everyone’s favorite staff member.

Last week a pilot car driver frantically called around to find someone who could help a kitten who they heard crying from five miles out from minneola, Kansas. Unfortunately in a rural area no one could come pick up this sweet kitten, fortunately one of our volunteers had been told about it and went out late that evening, expecting it to be too late. This little boy immediately came running to them and asked nicely if he could come inside!

He is soooo sweet and happy. He loves to cuddle and play! If you’d be interested in giving this boy his furever inside home message us and we can get you in contact with the volunteer!

*this is a private rehome situation and we as a entity are NOT rehoming his kitten - we are just sharing the story and his cute face!*
