Critical Meeting- What kind of Dixon do we want? The mayor will be holding a meeting on April 25, 2026, to discuss development in Dixon.

Hundreds of Dixon residents have weighed in against the proposal to double Dixon by adding 12,000 new housing units. If you don't want Dixon to turn into another Vacaville, we encourage you to make these meetings.

Let's remember- there are no State, City, or Federal requirements that force Dixon to annex over 800 acres to accommodate these thousands of homes. If you want to protect the Dixon you love, now is the time to speak up!

Developers are proposing to build 12,000 new homes—far beyond our General Plan. This will require annexation, and LAFCO will vote on it in 2026.

Developers want to add 12,000 new homes to Dixon—far more than what our approved housing plan includes. Most of this construction requires annexing county land into the city, and the LAFCO Board will decide in 2026. Without their approval, these projects can’t move forward.

On Tuesday, the Dixon City Council heard from many of you about why they must stop the suburban sprawl and listen to Dixon residents. Suburban sprawl will forever change our community and drain our City’s revenues with increased demands for City services and infrastructure upgrades.
