Happy Pride Month! | Celebrating LGBTQ+ Inclusion at Presbyterian Senior Living

At Presbyterian Senior Living, we believe every person deserves to feel safe, welcomed, and valued for who they are — this June and every month of the year.

We are proud to hold the SAGECare Platinum Certification — the highest level of credentialing from SAGE, the country's oldest and largest non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of LGBTQ+ older adults. This recognition reflects our team's commitment to creating safe, positive, and affirming environments for LGBTQ+ aging adults across all of our communities.

To earn this certification, 80% of our team members completed competency training on LGBTQ+ aging adult concerns — equipping our professionals with the knowledge and skills to build empathy, provide culturally sensitive services, and power innovation through inclusivity.

Together with SAGECare, we continue our partnership to serve every older person with the best care possible — and to make sure every individual feels comfortable being exactly who they are.

This Pride Month, we celebrate the dignity, diversity, and resilience of the LGBTQ+ community. We honor our residents, team members, and families — and we recommit to fostering a culture of mutual respect, connectedness, and inclusion in all that we do.

Everyone is welcome here.

Myth vs. Fact: Timing the Move

MYTH: You should wait until you need more support to consider a move.

FACT: Planning ahead often means having more choices, more control, and more time to settle into a new routine comfortably.

Sometimes the best decisions come before they feel urgent.

Whodunit at the Ware Mansion? 🔍✨

An unforgettable evening of mystery and fun at Ware Presbyterian Village - PSL's Life Plan community in Oxford, PA - brought together residents, team members, the Sales Team, and Future Resident Club members for a 1930s-themed Murder Mystery experience. Complete with vintage attire and era-inspired cuisine, guests stepped right into the storyline.

A special nod to Sales Counselor Robyn Botkin for writing and directing the intrigue—and to the many talented participants who helped bring the mystery to life.

Thank you to everyone who embraced the suspense, played along, and helped crack the case! 🕵️‍♀️

What does nearly two decades of showing up with your whole heart look like? Just ask Kathy Schoff, Housekeeping & Laundry Supervisor at Ware Presbyterian Village — who is celebrating 19 years with PSL this month.

Kathy started as a housekeeper and never stopped growing. She learned new skills, earned infectious control training, and built a team so tight they'd come in on their own evenings when residents needed them. Her motto says it all: "Hard work gets you where you need to be."

But for Kathy, it's always been about more than the work. "We're here to take care of the residents. This is their home." And PSL has been home for her too — a place that's supported her, challenged her, and, as she puts it, "honestly made me a better person." Kathy, we're so grateful for every one of those 19 years. :blue_heart:

June is National Safety Month!

At Presbyterian Senior Living, safety isn't just a priority — it's a promise we make every day to the older adults in our communities, to our team members, and to the families who trust us with the people they love most.

This June, we're proud to recognize National Safety Month and celebrate the dedicated professionals across our communities who show up every day committed to creating environments where residents can live with dignity, comfort, and confidence.
86% of our team members confirm PSL is a physically safe workplace — and we're always working to make it even better.

From our nursing teams and caregivers to our maintenance professionals and dining team members, safety is a shared responsibility — and everyone at PSL plays a vital role in promoting wholeness of body, mind, and spirit for all who live and work in our communities.

Here's to building safer, stronger, more compassionate communities together.
