Official Statement from the Founder & President of Anonymous Helpers

To our volunteers, supporters, partners, and members of the Anonymous Helpers community,

After careful consideration, I am announcing that I will be taking a temporary medical sabbatical from the day-to-day operations of Anonymous Helpers, effective immediately.

Due to ongoing medical issues that require my full attention, I must step away from my customary around-the-clock involvement and reduce my availability significantly over the coming months. This means I will no longer be accessible on a 24/7 basis for calls, messages, meetings, crisis coordination, or daily organizational matters as I have been in the past.

This decision was not made lightly; however, it is both medically necessary and personally imperative that I dedicate this time to my health and recovery.

Anonymous Helpers will continue moving forward during this period under the support of delegated leadership, volunteers, and organizational systems already in place. While I remain Founder and President, my direct participation will be limited, and responses from me personally may be delayed or unavailable for an extended period of time.

I ask that all members, volunteers, and those we serve respect this temporary boundary and understand that my reduced presence is necessary in order to ensure my long-term ability to continue serving this mission.

Anonymous Helpers has always stood for compassion, support, and understanding in times of hardship. At this time, I am asking for that same compassion and understanding to be extended to me as I focus on my medical needs.

Again, thank you for helping the unhoused, those in need or crisis. But we definitely need meat.

We are honored to share this news and highlight the incredible generosity of the team at UFCW Community Federal Credit Union. Through their dedication and teamwork during dress-down days and candy bar sales, they came together in a meaningful way to support a cause that makes a real difference in people’s lives.

Because of these collective efforts, we are able to stand alongside FSB Initiative, Inc. in support of their important mission.

FSB Initiative is committed to assisting homeless Veterans as they work to rebuild their lives and regain stability. Their support includes providing essential needs such as clothing, hygiene items, temporary shelter, and employment assistance—helping Veterans across multiple states take important steps toward independence and hope.

We are deeply proud to contribute to this mission, knowing that even modest support can help create real change for those who have sacrificed so much for our country.

A sincere thank you to FSB Initiative for their unwavering dedication and compassion in serving our Veterans. We are truly honored to support those who have served and continue to serve our nation.

Will be serving pizza, apple pie several other snacks and goodies including a wide variety of beverages to the homeless, in need, and those in crisis come on down to the building it's all curbside grab a slice of pizza and have a good time.

Big success this Friday April 10th 2026. We managed to feed roughly 30 people curbside at 529 Wyoming Avenue Scranton. We were able to still do our door to door deliveries and what was left over was donated to St Anthony's shelter, the individuals of St Anthony's definitely had a hearty meal. Everyone seemed to enjoy the rigatoni with meat sauce and broccoli Normandy along with Hawaiian dinner rolls, cupcakes, coffee, fruit punch, bottled water and Halo oranges along with "Kind" candy bars.
