Prosecutors are shamefully trying to deny exonerations because they "believe" the innocent person committed the crime. In our justice system, you are innocent until PROVEN guilty. There is no room for the "belief" of the prosecutor in the courtroom. They fully admit to not having any evidence of wrongdoing. This is not justice.

The Organization of Exonerees was honored to partner with ARISE Detroit! for the 20th Annual Neighborhoods Day, joining fellow Detroiters committed to strengthening our neighborhoods through service, connection, and community engagement.

Every conversation, every volunteer, and every act of service helps create a stronger, more united Detroit. As an organization led by exonerees, we believe that healthy communities are built on opportunity, restoration, and people who are willing to invest in each other.

Thank you to ARISE Detroit!, our fellow community partners, volunteers, and every resident who came out to make a difference. Together, we’re proving that real change happens when communities lead.

We’re grateful to have been part of another incredible Neighborhoods Day, and we look forward to continuing this partnership in the years ahead.
