The Korea Society, the Kim Koo Foundation, and the Association of Commemorative Service for Patriot Kim Koo invite you to a special lecture and visual exhibition marking the 150th anniversary of Kim Koo’s birth.
Join us as we remember a leader of the Korean independence movement, whose legacy emphasizes national strength through the power of culture—a vision recognized by UNESCO’s 2026 designation.
This program features Dr. Han Kyung-Koo, who served as the Secretary-General of the Korean National Commission for UNESCO and played a pivotal role in the 2026 UNESCO designation. Her Excellency Kang, Kyung-wha, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to the United States of America, and New Jersey Assemblywoman Ellen Park will provide congratulatory remarks. A congratulatory message from Dr. Kim Mee, Chairperson of the Kim Koo Foundation, is delivered by her daughter and great granddaughter of Kim Koo, Ms. Jung Hwa Kim, Director of International Affairs for The Kim Koo Foundation.
Produced in partnership between The Korea Society and The Association of Commemorative Service for Patriot Kim Koo and made possible by the support of the Kim Koo Foundation.
