NeighborHUB is a collaborative effort between General Motors and the Detroit Regional Chamber designed to empower residents to affect change in their neighborhoods. Together, they provide grants to nonprofits and small businesses working in communities throughout Detroit, Highland Park, and Hamtramck. ATTN: The 2026 NeighborHUB cohort is here! 🚨😁

The Detroit Regional Chamber and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) announced the eighth cohort of NeighborHUB grant awardees. Grant recipients were selected to each receive $15,000 in funding along with hands-on consulting and technical support, empowering them to design and implement projects that directly respond to their community needs and priorities.

And so it begins… 🧡

Last week NeighborHUB held a kickoff meeting for the 2025 grant recipients! Grantees had the opportunity to connect with fellow peers in their cohort, introduce their project, and try tasty non-alcoholic beverages provided by grant recipient Karlyta Williams.

Since 2018, NeighborHUB has empowered residents to make lasting changes in their neighborhoods. Through this program, small businesses and nonprofits have been awarded flexible funding throughout Detroit, Hamtramck, and Highlight Park to address community needs directly.

The Cohort 6 of NeighborHUB grantees gathered over pizza from Detroit Pizza Bar to share the progress they made using the NeighborHUB grant over the past year.
