Our newest Alpha Esquires have already shown tremendous growth through mentorship, accountability, and brotherhood under the guidance of the 🖤💛

As Gamma Lambda—the third oldest alumni chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.—continues its legacy of service and leadership, the Alpha Esquire MENtor Program remains one of its premier mentorship initiatives.

One of the most powerful moments of induction is the tying ceremony, where each Esquire receives a gold tie tied by a mentor—symbolizing guidance, professionalism, and the passing down of wisdom from one generation to the next. They are also jacketed by their parents, representing the love, support, and village helping guide them into manhood.

Still so very proud of our Spring ‘26 inductees! The legacy continues. ✨

What started in 2007 as a vision has grown into a legacy of mentorship, leadership, scholarship, brotherhood, and impact across Metro Detroit and beyond.

April’s Alpha Esquire Meeting was all about Healthy Minds, Strong Bodies 🧠💪

We had real conversations about making better choices—from what we eat, to how we move, to how we take care of our mental health. Because being your best self isn’t just physical… it’s mental, emotional, and intentional.

We also got active—introducing exercises, movement, and even stepping/strolling, giving our young men a chance to build confidence, coordination, and brotherhood through motion.

They’re learning that discipline in the small things leads to strength in the big moments.

This is what growth looks like. This is what we’re building. 💛🖤

Who knew making sandwiches could feed a whole community? 😅🥪

The Salvation Army Harbor Light Bed & Bread Program has been serving Metro Detroit for decades—providing hot meals, outreach, and support to hundreds of individuals daily across the city.

From 500+ sandwiches to full meal prep, this was service with real impact.

Huge thank you to The Salvation Army Harbor Light for being an incredible partner this year, and shoutout to mentors of AEMP and the Ivylettes Program for coming together and making it all happen…🤝🏾
