We need to invest in our children. Let’s go back to the belief that it truly takes a village. When families, schools, and communities work together, our children grow stronger in reading, math, confidence, and character.

🌈 THANK YOU, LITERACY LEARNERS!
Yesterday’s session was SO AWESOME — the room was full of smiles, excitement, and learning!

Our learners were already waiting at the door at 12 noon, ready to start. Their eagerness made the whole day feel magical.

We had 25 amazing learners, and even our new learners jumped right in to help with setup and pass out materials. Everyone enjoyed snacks and their special snack bags.

One of our favorite moments was the Math Partner Game!
We paired older learners with younger learners, and they worked together, counted together, and cheered each other on. Both groups earned fun prizes for teamwork.

A BIG thank you to Ms. Tabitha and Ms. Robin for helping our learners shine.

📣 Literacy Learners BC — Join Us Tuesday!
Theme: Sand & Creativity
Read‑Aloud: The Sandcastle That Lola Built
Activity: Designing our own sand art masterpieces

This past Tuesday was AMAZING!
We welcomed 20 bright and excited learners, and they showed up ready to listen, imagine, build, and create. Our sand‑themed session brought out so much creativity — from colorful sand art to thoughtful conversations inspired by The Sandcastle That Lola Built.

To every parent, grandmother, guardian, and family member who brought their learner, THANK YOU. Your support and presence make Literacy Learners BC stronger every single week.

A very special shout‑out to Ms. Edith and Ms. Robin for your loving assistance during the session. Your patience, guidance, and helping hands made the day run smoothly and beautifully.

📚 Literacy Learners™ — Weekly Recap
Last Tuesday, July 28, 2026, was all about transformation, creativity, and confidence. We opened our session with a joyful read‑aloud of “Waiting for Wings,” a vibrant rhyming story about how caterpillars become butterflies. Our learners listened, imagined, and connected deeply with the journey of change.

From there, we moved into our hands‑on craft: painting butterfly masks. The room was full of color, brushes, water cups, and excited conversations as each learner designed a butterfly that reflected their personality.

Our tables were set with name cards, paint palettes, worksheets, and supplies — everything organized so each child could explore freely and safely.

We closed the day with our Close‑Out Circle, where every learner stood proudly to share the butterfly they created and explain the meaning behind their colors and shapes. Confidence, creativity, and communication were on full display.

We welcomed 25 learners, and every moment reminded us why literacy, art, and community matter. UBGC™ continues to build readers, leaders, and joyful learners — one Tuesday at a time. 📚 Summer isn’t over yet — we still have three Literacy Learners sessions remaining!
