The Life Center MIHP

The Life Center MIHP L.I.F.E Center is a Maternal Infant Health Program that is dedicated to helping reduce the rate of infant death in Michigan.

We service Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties. The Maternal Infant Health Program in conjunction with the Michigan Department of Community Health is a program for all Michigan women and children under 1 years old with Medicaid health insurance. If you do not have insurance for yourself while pregnant or your child is in need of insurance please call 248-542-5433 for assistance.

Housing Referrals

Registered Nurse, Licensed Social Worker, Registered Dietitian and Infant Mental Health Specialist that will come to your home to provide your services based on identified needs.

Referrals to local community services (e.g., mental health, substance abuse, domestic violence, basic needs assistance)

Referral to local childbirth education or parenting classes.

Referral for pregnant mothers to receive a free car seat prior to her delivery
