In Michigan, women now hold 28% of company board seats, a steady rise over recent years. Each percentage point represents women breaking barriers, stepping into leadership, and shaping the future of business. Yet despite this momentum, women, and especially women of color, are still underrepresented, their voices not fully reflected where decisions are made.

This isn’t just about numbers—it’s about equity, influence, and opportunity. Every board seat filled by a woman signals a workplace that values diverse perspectives, inspires the next generation, and strengthens communities and companies alike.
