True story. My great uncle Gerald took a photo on the back of an elephant in Morocco 🇲🇦 in 1975. Twenty years later he shared his paintings and illustrations (one of many talents) with 15 year old me and encouraged me to pursue a career as an artist. 30 years later I pay homage to my past, and my future.

When I create something, it is important for me to take breaks from it, sometimes for weeks. Creativity for me comes with impatience and “tunnel vision”. Taking a break forces me to look at the entire piece, and take notice of mistakes and oversight.

Do you get tunnel vision?
