We want to make a difference as an organization and we believe that we can make a real difference together. This season, we are also collecting monetary donations and non-perishable food items to support local families in need. Your generosity helps ensure that households experiencing hardship have access to essential items and nourishment during the holidays and beyond.
It’s more than giving—it’s caring, connecting, and spreading hope from one heart to another.

Congratulations to our very own Onyx Pearl Rayn on her title win for Ms Michigan Leather Pride.

I tried to paraphrase her speech but there were so many profound statements I felt it needed to be shared in its entirety.

As a black woman in kink I am honored to share her words as they deeply resonate with me.

2025 Michigan Leather Pride

Here I stand before you as a black kinky woman, layered in history, strength and survival…

I am my momma’s child.

My story doesn’t fit neatly into the box that society has made for comfort.

I live with the identities that make people pause:

I’m a black woman, I’m disabled, and I am definitely living the lifestyle, rooted in Kink.

For some, that combination sparks confusion, maybe even discomfort.

But for me, it’s where my freedom lies, because every part of who I am…my blackness, my body, my desires has been questioned, judged, and/or silenced.

Yet, here I am… Speaking, Living and Thriving.

I was born, grown and nurtured by strong women who I HONOR, ADMIRE, and RESPECT.

I am re-defining strength every single day…adapting and advocating for those who are like me.

In kink, a space built on trust, consent and communication, I have found a mirror of resilience.

I have found people who understood that power can look different, that pleasure can co-exist with pain, and that control can be a form of healing.

Being a Black Woman comes with its own weight…

Too often, Black Women are made a fe**sh, not humanized.

We’re expected to be strong, bold and angry.

You know…The Angry Black Woman…

I’ve learned that vulnerability is not weakness…it is REBELLION.

It’s saying: I deserve the space that I take up in every form of my truth.

My journey is not about shock, it’s about self-ownership.

It’s about reminding the world that identity is not a single lane.

I can be disabled and desired.

I can be kinky and worthy of respect.

I can be a black woman and be free from the limits placed on me by society.

So while I move through the world…

cane in hand,

head held high…

and in heels. (wink)

I’m not asking for permission!!

I’m claiming every part of my power, because my liberation isn’t just mine;

It’s a ripple for others like me, who need to hear that being different is not something to hide.

It is something to HONOR!!
