Allow me to reintroduce The We Can Win Foundation, Inc.
Official Mission Statement:
To advance advocacy for prostate, breast, and other cancers that disproportionately impact underserved communities, with a particular emphasis on African American men and families. We foster authentic, community-centered conversations that promote awareness, education, early screening, timely detection, and access to quality treatment. We are committed to confronting medical discrimination, systemic barriers, and health inequities that contribute to delayed diagnoses and higher mortality rates. Through culturally responsive outreach and trusted partnerships, we strive to empower communities to take charge of their health and improve cancer outcomes.
To educate, empower, and advocate for underserved and veteran communities by promoting health equity through awareness, early detection, education, screening, access to life-saving resources, compassionate support, and strategic partnerships that improve health outcomes and save lives.
Official Vision Statement:
A future where every individual, regardless of race, income, or military service, has equitable access to the knowledge, screenings, healthcare, and support needed to live healthier lives and overcome preventable health disparities.
Who We Are:
The We Can Win Foundation, Inc. is a trusted nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing health equity through education, advocacy, early detection, and community partnerships that improve the lives of underserved and veteran communities.
Founder's Message:
The We Can Win Foundation was born from a simple but powerful belief: no one should face a life-changing diagnosis alone or without access to the knowledge and resources that can make a difference. As a prostate cancer survivor, I have experienced firsthand the importance of early detection, compassionate care, and community support. Our mission extends beyond awareness; we strive to educate, empower, and advocate for underserved and veteran communities while building partnerships that save lives. Every life matters, every voice matters, and every action we take brings us one step closer to healthier communities. Thank you for joining us on this journey. Together, we can make a lasting impact.

Our Story:
The We Can Win Foundation, Inc. was founded on the belief that education, early detection, and compassionate support can change and save lives. Inspired by Co-Founders Dr. Edward W. Wright, Sr., Chief Executive Officer/Executive Director, and his wife, Shajuana R. Wright, Director of Volunteer Services, Dr. Wright’s personal journey as a prostate cancer survivor and U.S. Navy Vietnam Veteran, the foundation was established in 2020 to confront the health disparities that disproportionately affect underserved and veteran communities.
What began as a commitment to raising awareness about prostate cancer has grown into a comprehensive health equity initiative that addresses breast cancer, chronic diseases, mental health, clinical trials, and preventive care. Through education, strategic partnerships, advocacy, and community outreach, the foundation empowers individuals and families with the knowledge and resources needed to make informed health decisions.
Every program, partnership, and event is guided by one simple belief:
Together, we educate. Together, we advocate. Together, we save lives.
Let's Win Together.
Our Promise:
We promise to educate, empower, advocate, and serve with compassion, ensuring that underserved and veteran communities have access to trusted health information, life-saving resources, and a community that stands beside them every step of the way.
