In each edition of VFW Auxiliary Magazine, we have a feature titled Get Digital. In this, we share tips, tricks, reminders and warnings to help members in this digital age.

The November issue's Get Digital reminds members to "check" on their Facebook photos. We are still sometimes seeing posts with pictures of members making donations to local organizations, special projects, the VA, VFW/Auxiliary Programs and more, and sometimes these include actual routing numbers and other personal information that a nefarious social media user could then use to steal money from your Auxiliary.

We can do this!!!

Good evening commanders, should have been sent out on Friday. But it was worth the delay. We new have 6 posts that are at 8 members or less for the 100% goal, and the same 8 are 10 or less for the 102 % goal. Post 12208 (Altoona) and Post 4123 (Indianola) lead the district with needing just 2 members to hit the first goal and 3 members to hit the 2nd goal.

Can any post beat them to the goal line. It is anyone’s guess. When I last sent out the stats on 10/8/2025 the district was in need of 207 members for 100%. As of today, we are in need of 168. Great job there 5th District. In the blue highlighted area, we are showing improvement with the Annual new members. On the 8th there were 5 posts with no new members and as of today we are down to 5. Getting better.

ALL POSTS need to work on reaching out to the expired members over 2 years. Same goes for Life Reinstate. No post so far has reinstated any member. Life time with one post new only 12208 has any new Life time members. Life Upgrade getting better, went from 4 posts to 5 posts. The bad highlights are going away.
