💙💛Track Season is here💛💙

Derry Area’s track and field teams had a strong showing against Apollo Ridge and River Valley. The girls team defeated Apollo Ridge 107–38 and River Valley 83.5–48.5, led by top scorers Emily Laughlin, Cheyenne Smith, Melody Ann Marsh, Addison Hood, and Eliana Murawski. First-place finishes included Marsh in the 800m, Hood in the 1600m, and Murawski in the 3200m ( #10 all-time). Additional wins came from Kayla Ferri (100m hurdles), Smith (300m hurdles), all three relay teams (4x800, 4x100, 4x400), Zoe Frayvolt in javelin, and Alleigha Hissem in high jump ( #10 all-time).

The boys team fell to Apollo Ridge 75–68 but defeated River Valley 74–64. Top scorers were Stanley Rajkovich, Haydan Hood, Levi Haase, Elijah Moffett, and Jordan Gill. First-place finishes included Hood (1600m), Moffett (3200m), the 4x800 relay team, Haase in both shot put ( #5 all-time) and discus, Rajkovich in high jump and long jump, and Jeremiah Gess, who set a new school record in pole vault (14’6”).

Attention parents and community. We are collecting donations for our high school track members. Please consider sending water, Gatorade, Honey Stingers, Gogo Squeezes, protein bars, and fruit. We will need these items for our athletes starting on March 24th. Thank you for your support!

Meet at River Valley High School at 7:00 AM
Return later that evening
