Thank you to all who came out to the April gathering yesterday afternoon! Our topic this month was HOPE -- what our hopes are for our community and the United States ... where we struggle to hold onto hope .... times when we have seen hope taking the form of collective action.... and more! Next month's gathering will be, as always, on the second Sunday of the month-- May 10th from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. More details to come about that! And remember, we are

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT SUNDAY'S GATHERING

Good evening Friends,

In light of the recent shooting of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk and concerns around possible desires for retaliation against communities seen as "the other side," and out of an abundance of caution, we have made the difficult decision to transition Sunday's LGBTQ+ & Allied gathering to a ZOOM CALL for everyone's safety and peace of mind.

Please message us for the Zoom link if you would like to attend.

Please know this is only being done because everything is still so fresh and fast-developing. For example, there have been reports today of terrorist threats against several HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges and Universities), underscoring the concerns about retaliation against those perceived as "the other side."

We fully anticipate that we will be back to our regular IN PERSON meetings in October!

This is probably being overly cautious, but we treasure our community's safety and well-being and don't want to take any chances with that.

The date and time of the gathering will be the same --
Sunday, September 14th
from 4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

The Zoom room will be opened at 4:15 p.m.
