Teens,
I got this message from Lauren Clark (Miss NH Dancer). She wanted me to relay this message to all Teens attending a Manchester School.
Here at the GMC, we have organized and coordinated our leadership program called Leadership Greater Manchester (LGM) for over 30 years. This program is geared towards working professionals who are eager to grow their leadership skills, expand their network, and make a difference in the greater Manchester community. Last year, in partnership with the Manchester School District, we launched a youth program of LGM fittingly called Youth Leadership Greater Manchester (YLGM). This program helps students explore leadership, civic engagement, career pathways, and the Manchester community.
Modeled after the Chamber’s Leadership Greater Manchester program, YLGM offers four immersive learning sessions:
History – October 7
Civic Engagement & Government – November 4
Culture & Arts – December 3
Health & Human Services – January 6
Each session combines professional engagement, local expertise, hands-on learning, and durable skill development while giving students meaningful opportunities to connect with peers and community leaders across Manchester.
Program Requirements & Eligibility:
Open to students entering grades 10, 11, or 12 by September 2026
Students must attend school in Manchester, New Hampshire
Participants are expected to attend all scheduled sessions
An Extended Learning Opportunity (ELO) credit is available
There is no cost to participate
I’d love if you could share with the teen contestants in their Facebook group? Again, this only applies to those attending Manchester schools but it would be a great experience and also a great resume builder. Applications are due next Friday, May 15!
