Wyatt The Warrior Foundation / Wyatt The Warrior Wyatt was just 8 years old when he was diagnosed with scleroderma. He is now 18. We've created this page to share his journey and raise awareness.

Wyatt does a weekly Chemo Shot and several other medications. Wyatt has a gastric pacemaker. Scleroderma means "hard skin" the disease effects the skin and the tissues located under the affected skin. Wyatt's has occurred as a tight band. That started at the ankle and has made it way to his chest and elbow. All of his is on the right side for now. Scleroderma is a rare disease Estimated frequency

never exceeds three new cases in 100.000 children and is predominantly affects girls. Scleroderma is an inflammatory Disease, but the reason for the inflammation has yet to be discovered, which means the Childs immune system reacts against itself. There is NO know prevention for this condition. Treatment for this disease is Large doses of Steroids to start with to help with the inflammation. Then they are treated with Chemo. Chemo is used to slow down and hope to put the condition in remission.

The Ronald McDonald House has been at full capacity for an extended period. Consequently, they are accommodating patients in hotels to ensure sufficient housing. To support their efforts, they require supplies, including forks, spoons, plates, baggies, Syrian wraps, paper towels, and various snacks. If you wish to contribute, you can mail the items to my residence or arrange for pickup with Carla Gwinup Mcwithey, Susie Branine, Jody Mcdowell, or Becky Thompson.
