The Community Garage Sale with a Purpose: No Child Goes Hungry is almost here!

➡️ By request, we are offering ONE additional drop-off opportunity on Tuesday, June 2, from 5-6PM. Please note that at this drop-off, we will accept all items except additional clothing. With the rain in the forecast for the next few days, it's a great time to clean out those closets!

➡️ Then it’s time to shop! Join us June 4-6 at 222 E. Madison in Derby to find some great new-to-you treasures. We also have volunteer opportunities available during the sale: https://bit.ly/2026SaleVolunteers.

➡️ Garage Sale Hours:
• June 4: 6:30AM-6PM
• June 5: 6:30AM-5PM
• June 6: 6:30AM-4PM

Panther Pac will be cooking burgers and hot dogs each day of the sale from 10:30AM-2PM.

We also have an additional clean-up day on Sunday, June 7. Any remaining clothing is being brought to Cooper Elementary to again set up the "Cooper Boutique" and provide free clothing to families in the Oaklawn community.

➡️ Mascot Mania: Join us on Saturday, June 6, 11AM-12PM, for a fun family activity where kids can meet all the Derby Public Schools mascots and special mascots from McConnell AFB and Culver's, along with free Culver’s custard (donations appreciated). Bring the kids by during the community garage sale, grab lunch from Panther Pac and/or custard from Culver's and stick around for the smiles! 💚

Even though the Rotary Club of Derby, KS garage sale registration date has passed, Derby citizens are still welcome and encouraged to host a garage sale during the annual Citywide Garage Sale the weekend of June 4, 5, and 6. The Derby Informer will post the map of registered garage sales soon!

Thank you to all who registered! Your donations will go to the Derby Public Schools Feed a Hungry Child meal assistance program.

Tomorrow is the last day to drop off donations for the Garage Sale with a Purpose! Donations will be accepted tomorrow, Thursday, May 14th from 3-5 p.m. at 222 E. Madison in Derby.

We are still seeking donations of any spare plastic clothing hangers.

The Garage Sale with a Purpose is a partnership between Rotary Club of Derby and Derby Public Schools. All proceeds go to the Feed a Hungry Child meal assistance program.

Registration is now open for the Annual City Wide Garage Sale! For $10, citizens can register their address for the citywide garage sale on June 4, 5, and 6. All proceeds go to the Feed a Hungry Child meal assistance program.

The fee covers their address listed on a map that will be distributed and published in the Derby Informer, a new 11x17 garage sale sign, and advertising in area community calendars.

Payment can be made in person at Derby Public Library with cash, check or card. Online registration is available by visiting: https://square.link/u/jMjqo9VC Please note that online registrations include an additional $0.60 charge to cover credit card fees.

The last day to register is Tuesday, May 26th. After that date, Derby citizens are still able to have a garage sale, but their address won't be included in the Derby Informer map.

Derby Public Schools and the Derby Rotary Club are bringing back the Community Garage Sale with a Purpose: No Child Goes Hungry. Proceeds support the Community Assistance School Lunch Program, helping provide meals for students in need.

Sunday, April 19, 10-11AM
