and rehabilitating Golden Retrievers in need. Our mission is simple yet powerful - to provide these beloved and majestic creatures with a second chance at life and the opportunity to experience the unconditional love they deserve. With unwavering commitment and the support of our amazing volunteers, we work tirelessly to rescue Golden Retrievers/Mixed Breeds from neglect, abuse, and abandonment, providing them with essential medical care, grooming, and plenty of tender loving care. Our ultimate goal is to find each rescue dog their perfect forever home, where they can live out their golden years as cherished family members. Together, we believe in making a difference, one wagging tail at a time. Join us in our journey of compassion and hope as we strive to give these beautiful souls the freedom they so rightfully deserve. Our Mission:
Our mission is to rescue, foster, rehabilitate and adopt abused, neglected, and unwanted Golden Retrievers and Mixed Breed Dogs to permanent homes. All of our Goldens/Mixed Breeds are currently in foster homes which enables GRFR to better assess the temperament of each Golden/Mixed Breed for matching to the appropriate permanent home and provides prospective owners the opportunity to visit the Golden/Mixed Breed in a non-kennel environment.

🐾 Tucker's New Beginning 🐾

Formerly known as Rambo, Tucker is settling into his forever home beautifully! ❤️

His family reports that he has adjusted wonderfully and has quickly become a beloved member of the family. From day one, Tucker has embraced his new life and is already making himself right at home.

His adopters have made sure he's safe and secure with his GRFR tag, Apple ID, and updated microchip information, giving everyone peace of mind as he enjoys his new adventures.

Stories like Tucker's remind us why rescue matters. A second chance, a loving family, and a place to call home can make all the difference.

Thank you to Tucker's family for opening your hearts and giving this deserving boy the life he always deserved. We can't wait to watch his journey continue! 🐕💛

🐾 Honey's Sweet Update! 🐾

Honey is thriving in her forever home, and we couldn't be happier for her! ❤️

This sweet girl has learned how to walk on a leash and now looks forward to her daily adventures especially when they involve a car ride to a new hiking trail or exciting destination. 🚗🐕

Her family even took her to the lake, but much to everyone's surprise, Honey has absolutely no interest in swimming! 🤣 Not exactly what you'd expect from a Lab mix, but that's part of what makes her so special. Don't worry, she'll have plenty more opportunities to test the waters this summer!

Honey and her brother Blue have become the best of buddies. Blue has been an incredible mentor, earning a perfect 10/10 for being patient, welcoming, and showing Honey the ropes. 💙

She's also making friends with the neighborhood dogs and is finally discovering the joy of playtime. Watching her confidence grow and her personality shine has been amazing.

Way to go, Honey! We love seeing our GRFR alumni living their best lives. 🐾✨

🍯 Honey (formerly Gia) is truly living her best life! We love getting these happy updates from our adopted pups through 🐾

Honey is thriving in her forever home - healthy, happy, and now 45 pounds! She spends her days playing nonstop with her big sister Mango 😂, cuddling with the family cat, and has even mastered jumping up on the bed.

Flynn came to Golden Retriever Freedom Rescue as a 9 month old, 75 lb big goofy boy full of energy and love ❤️

We are so happy to report that Flynn is thriving in his forever home! His adopter has been incredibly dedicated to training and helping him grow into the amazing dog we knew he could be. Flynn is a happy boy who is loving life, learning new things, and keeping his family smiling with his goofy personality.
