Our Back Office wasn't built in a boardroom. It was built in the in-between moments: The late nights, the early mornings, the years of figuring it out for our own families, so we could help yours 🧡

Meet our founders:

▶Anne Patton is a Denver-based disability advocate and currently manages her son Chris's PASA. She's the driving force behind the Back Office vision.
▶ Christy Blakely is the Executive Director of Family Voices Colorado and manages her daughter Lauren's PASA, along with supporting several other people with disabilities.
▶ Katherine Carol is a Colorado-based disability advocate, supporter of the Colorado Employment First initiative, and co-host of The Shining Beautiful Series Podcast. She manages her daughter Mikelle's PASA.

We already lived through this. Which means when you come to us, you're not talking to a system... you're talking to someone who gets it.

We're feeling so inspired after attending the Women Powering Change event in Boulder, Colorado. 🧡

It was incredible connecting with so many women across Colorado who are using their voices, experiences, and passion to create real change in their communities.

At Our Back Office, we believe strong communities are built through connection, advocacy, and showing up for one another.

Here's something a lot of Colorado families don't know: you may have the option to become your own care provider for your loved one with a disability.

It's called a "PASA" a Program Approved Service Agency, and it exists so families can have real control over the care their loved ones receive. But between the paperwork, the systems, and the sheer amount of information out there, it's not always easy to find your footing.

That's exactly why we exist. Whether you're just hearing about PASAs for the first time or you've been running one for years, there's a place for you here.

We started in the mid-2000s, when a group of families of young adults with disabilities wanted to keep friendships and community connections alive after high school.

So, we built something. We called it Killer Waves. It became a grassroots network of families who grew into PASAs, Program Approved Service Agencies, so their loved ones could keep living fully and stay connected, on their own terms.

Through the years, we’ve wondered, who holds all this together when we can’t? That’s where we take shape.

Our Back Office is a collaborative system helping families and aging caregivers sustain their PASAs through shared administrative and organizational support. We’re born from the same moms, the same heart, and the same commitment to our families we had years ago.
