His place was unlivable with no safe place to stay. The day after Christmas, EmergencyRV delivered an RV donated by another Vietnam veteran to become his new home.

The Georgia wildfire community is showing up for its own in powerful ways. Neighbors donated essential household items to families living in EmergencyRVs in Brantley County, helping them feel at home.

We are grateful to Rhonda Barlow, Joy Cook, Emelia Stambaugh, Pam Prescott, Patty Parkinson, MariLynn Boerema, and the First Presbyterian Church in Darien for their generosity.

Back in January, we partnered with the American Red Cross Northwest Region to deliver 5 EmergencyRVs, along with the Welcome Home kits they prepared, to families rebuilding after the catastrophic floods in Washington state that caused landslides and widespread infrastructure damage. Together, we stand with these families as they begin to recover and rebuild.

Toyota Motor North America just matched the I-95 Toyota of Brunswick $5,000 donation to us dollar for dollar. 🙏

That is $10,000 going directly to Brantley County wildfire families who have lost everything. This is not a small thing. A major global company looked at what was happening in a small Georgia county and said we are in.

We are sincerely grateful to Toyota Motor North America and I-95 Toyota of Brunswick for this extraordinary act of generosity. This kind of corporate commitment to community is rare and it means the world to us and to every family we are able to shelter because of it!!

We are incredibly grateful to announce that Toyota Motor North America has committed to matching our $5,000 donation to Emergency RV, bringing the total contribution to $10,000 in support of families impacted by the Brantley County wildfires. ❤️

Today we delivered an RV to Dennis, an Air Force veteran who lost his home in the Brantley fire. This moment was made possible by so many hands working behind the scenes with EmergencyRV and Emerge Ministries, including Johnny with J.Brew RV Repair, who has been doing an incredible job inspecting and repairing the RVs so they are ready for the survivors who need them most.

Before his EmergencyRV arrived Mr. Lane, an Army Vet, spent nights in his truck and days in a friend's camper. Yesterday he was our 12th Brantley County recipient and he says the kindness and love he has witnessed from this community is unlike anything he has ever seen. We feel that too. 🙏

Memorial Day is for remembering the men and women who gave their lives and their service so that the rest of us could live freely. It is a day to say the names of those we have lost.

Today we say the name of Mr. Hughes.

A WWII U.S. Army Veteran who carried the weight of his service quietly and with dignity for his entire life. When Hurricane Helene took his home in Yankeetown, Florida, EmergencyRV had the honor of showing up for him. A man who had already given everything for this country deserved to have someone show up when he needed it most.

Mr. Hughes has since passed, but his memory is exactly what this day is for. He is the reason we prioritize veterans above all else.

Rest easy, sir. Your service was not forgotten. Your life was not forgotten. You are remembered today and every day.

Over 120 homes have been destroyed. Right now, volunteers are loading up RVs and preparing to head to South Georgia, where we will be on the ground next week alongside Emerge Ministries, delivering RVs and community care to wildfire survivors who have lost everything.
