Welcome our Secretary, Anna Galluzzi, as our next Back Door Resident!

Anna Galluzzi is a DFW based interdisciplinary artist and educator. While originally from the Texas Hill Country, Galluzzi relocated to DFW to receive their BA from University of Texas at Dallas and MFA from Texas Woman’s University. They currently teach art at Tarrant County College and Texas State Technical College. Their work has been exhibited across the state of Texas at Cain Gallery at Del Mar College, The Boedecker, and Zona 7 Gallery, among others.

Utilizing mixed media, their work advocates for cultivating joy and coping with the present. They are heavily inspired by the Pattern & Decoration movement, suburban flora and fauna, and childhood whimsy.

Anna will be joining Katie Rose Crosswhite as our final residents of 2026. Visit them this Saturday, Oct 17 from 7-9 p.m. to talk with them more about their work!

📍 The entrance to the residency is facing Hickory Street. If GDAC is open, walk through Festival Hall and exit the door in the back of the room. Turn left and walk up the stairs to enter Back Door Residency. At this time, Back Door Residency is not wheelchair accessible due to the age of the building. We are working to make the space ADA accessible in the future.

Can't make it to the DHAMP work sessions this evening? We have another coming up on Wednesday!

Join artists Morgan Grasham, Chynna Blue, and Kristin Wyly and help paint the inside of their huge CTV for their Halloween art installation, I Saw the Harvest Glow, at Harvest House!

Mentors Morgan and Eric Grasham and Mentees Chynna Blue and Kristin Wyly are working on a haunted, larger-than life CRT television, home to oozy, curious creatures. During the month of October you can step inside the TV to take a photo and get the fright of your life when you realize YOU are frozen in the static! They are looking for support in painting the CTV and invite anyone to join in on Wednesday, Sept 16 from 12-2 p.m.

Artist team Jacob Phillips and Ollie Miller are transforming Bearded Monk into an apocolyptic scene where the forgotten buried time capsule has awoken underground, breeding carnivorous flowers and luring unsuspecting party goers into its snare. Come be a part of this installation and your hands will add to the fright during 31 Days of Halloween!
