🚨 CIVCHARTER ONLINE IS LIVE — PUBLIC ALPHA IS OPEN 🚨
Holy hell, we did it.
After a full-on technical boss fight with Raspberry Pi hosting, ServUO, ClassicUO, CGNAT, Playit tunneling, shard handoff packets, Linux service configs, and one very sneaky old Scripts.dll that refused to update… CivCharter Online is officially reachable from the public internet.
This is our experimental Ultima Online-style civic fantasy world — a living shard built around exploration, community, stewardship, archives, quests, public works, and the CivCharter idea of building a better world together.
It is still early alpha. Expect weirdness. Expect bugs. Expect us to build it while people are walking around in it.
But tonight, we got in from outside the LAN.
Public connection info:
Server: mineral-augmentation.with.playit.plus
Port: 1390
You’ll need:
ClassicUO client
Ultima Online Classic client files
ClassicUO is an open-source Ultima Online classic client implementation, and the official Ultima Online site still offers the classic client download. UO also has its official “Endless Journey” free-access option, so getting the client files should be pretty painless. This shard is unofficial and independent — not affiliated with EA/Broadsword/official UO.
How to try joining:
Download/install the official Ultima Online Classic client files.
Download ClassicUO.
Add a custom server:
Server: mineral-augmentation.with.playit.plus
Port: 1390
Try logging in / creating a test account.
Message me if you want in or if anything breaks.
Right now the world has the first CivCharter civic systems seeded: the Hall of Accord, steward NPCs, role tokens, civic task boards, archive reports, public works loops, and the first “world memory” mechanics.
This is not just “a game server.” This is the start of a weird little online civilization experiment.
Come help us break it, test it, archive it, and build it.
Welcome to CivCharter Online.
