Honored today to see off much of what was left to our friends at Bigbee Humane Society Thrift Store. They’re planning a big sidewalk sale next Saturday morning! Go check them out before or after the Farmers Market!

Money spent with them goes to feed and vet the dogs in their care at Bigbee Humane Society

The Simplest Economic Development Strategy You’re Ignoring

There is no mystery to why certain streets thrive and others don’t. People are drawn to beautiful places. Not complicated, not controversial, just true.

Very cool!

We hear a lot about how kids today don't know how to write a paper check... but I'm willing to bet most adults have never seen anything like THIS. 😅

This is a Paymaster Check Writer Protector (this model is from the 1940s) and I literally had to watch a video to figure out how to use it. You set the dials, pull the handle, and it actually cuts the dollar amount INTO the paper so no one can alter it. Banking security from back when people meant business.

Found at Strawberry Station during the clean out. Another one of the cool things we've uncovered so far. History hiding in plain sight right here in Demopolis. 🍓
