🤫 We have a secret to share… 🤫

Our sweet Lainey girl was hiding a few little stowaways when she came to us! 💕 On Friday evening, she decided it was finally time to introduce them to the world.

🐾 5 tiny puppies
🎀 3 little girls
💙 2 little boys

Momma and babies are all doing wonderfully, and we couldn’t be more excited to watch these precious little ones grow. Thank you, Lainey, for trusting us with your beautiful family. ❤️

🎉🐾 A BIG Congratulations to Our Very First Alumni, Blue! 🐾🎉

Please join us in celebrating Blue — the Blue behind Blue River Rescue’s name — and his amazing owner and handler, Mrs. Hintz! 🥳

Blue is a deaf Australian Shepherd who communicates entirely through sign language, proving that disabilities never define what is possible. Through dedication, teamwork, and lots of hard work, Blue has successfully passed all three required observations and is now a Certified Therapy Dog through Alliance of Therapy Dogs! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

We couldn’t be more proud of this incredible accomplishment. Blue will be putting his special talents to work this fall as he begins his days at a local high school alongside Mrs. Hintz, who is a special education teacher. Together, they will be making a positive impact on countless students and staff members.

From a rescue puppy to a certified therapy dog, Blue’s journey is a beautiful reminder of what love, patience, and opportunity can achieve. 💙

Our sweet boy Beckett has his heart set on finding a home with at least one other dog! This lovable 1 yr old pup is the total package — playful, affectionate, and happiest when he’s right by your side.

Beckett loves going for walks, hopping in the car for adventures, and after a fun day, curling up in your lap for snuggles. He already knows how to use a doggie door, is crate trained, and has wonderful house manners.

The most awesome 4th grade classes at Wauseon Schools chose to support us! We learned from them and they learned from us on Wednesday about rescue, and what is involved in caring for the tiniest medically fragile special needs puppies, and training dogs/puppies as therapy dogs. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Wauseon VFW Post 7424 🇺🇸 for their incredibly generous support of our mission.

Because of their kindness, our goal of obtaining a lifesaving incubator for medically fragile newborn puppies is within reach. This specialized incubator will provide controlled heat, humidity, oxygen support, and nebulizer capabilities — critical tools that can make all the difference for the tiniest lives fighting to survive.

From all of us at Blue River Rescue, and especially the vulnerable babies who will benefit from this equipment in the future, thank you for believing in our mission and helping us continue to save lives. Thank you for your service and generosity.

Our promise to every baby who comes through Blue River Rescue is that they will know love, comfort, safety, and compassion — no matter how long their journey with us may be. Denver may have only been here for a short time, but he was deeply loved every second of it.

Run free, precious boy. 🌈
No more pain, only sunshine, soft grass, and endless love on the other side of the bridge.

Thank you to everyone who follows, supports, and grieves alongside us through both the happy endings and the heartbreaking goodbyes. Please keep our team in your thoughts. 🐾💙🥺💔

Please welcome our newest special needs baby! Denver (Broncos 🏈) is a stunning blue German Sheperd who is THE ultimate sweetheart, even with his limited vision and possible hydrocephalus, he is a happy go lucky pup.💙 While we don’t yet know the extent of his medical issues we are asking for all the things for him….prayers 🙏🏻, good vibes 😎, and positive energy⚡️.…..and if you are able to help contribute even a small amount towards Denver’s up and coming medical bills we would be most appreciative, this baby is so very deserving. 🥰
