Wow!!! Thank you to our generous donors! Additional contributions to our team MidwayUSA Foundation endowment will be matched and can help us tremendously as we continue to grow youth programs in the area!

The Spring Donation Drive is a nationwide fundraising campaign held each April to help youth shooting teams grow their endowment funds and compete for even more funding.

During this drive, every team donation is matched, helping teams build long-term support that provides annual grants for years to come. On top of that, teams compete for additional endowment awards, with top fundraisers earning up to $15,000 and 30 teams winning $1,000 through random drawings.

This week is a busy week for many of our athletes! Six members of the precision team have headed to Alabama for USA Shooting’s National Junior Olympic Championship! We’ll be cheering them on and posting updates as we can! Let’s go, team!!!

Last night, qualifying MDJRC athletes participated in the 2nd round of the American Legion Championship. Athletes are invited to compete in the 2nd round of competition based on first round qualifying scores. The second round serves as the qualifier for the National Championship - with the top 15 individuals in the precision and sporter categories receiving an invite to the championship match this summer.

Competing in the second round postal match were Devin, Everett, Hunter, Liz, Maggie, Blake and Levi.

Thank you to Mountaineer Post 174 for their continued support of our athletes and to Coaches Pete and Dave for their representation on behalf of the American Legion and our team! 👏

Round two invitations for the USA Shooting National Junior Olympic championship came out today! Devin Wagner added to her auto qualifying air rifle invitation with an invitation to compete on smallbore and Liz Whiteman joins her teammates with an air rifle invitation.

The National JO match will be held in Anniston/Talladega, AL from April 8 – 13, 2026.

Junior Olympics will be a selection match for the Junior World Championships in Suhl, Germany, June 16-26, 2026.

Round one invitations for the USA Shooting National Junior Olympic championship came out today! Congratulations to all the athletes receiving their invitations to compete this year. We’ll be watching for the 2nd round invites in early March to see if any of The other MDJRC athletes will be joining their teammates!

Congratulations to our ‘Shooting Pretty in Pink’ athlete, Neva!

Neva competed in the WV State 4-H Air Rifle Championship today where she placed 3rd 🥉 in the juniors division. The top 20 competitors from all the state regional qualifiers competed in this match at West Virginia University. Neva placed 15th overall. Fantastic job! We’re proud of you. 👏

MDJRC Blue started the day and set the bar high. MDJRC White followed with a strong second day as well.

Individual qualification ended with two day aggregate scores placing or athletes as follows out of 143 competitors:

Hunter 7th
Everett 14th
Devin 15th
Liz 20th
Blake 67th
Levi 88th
Liam 131st
Andrew 138th

Hunter’s 7th place finish earned him a spot in the final, where he finished 4th overall.

For the team side of competition, team White finished in 21st place in the overall club team standings. Team Blue entered the day in second place and pushed back on day two to bring their score up and tie for first place at the end of the competition. With the tie breaking verification (the last 10 shots of each athlete totaled for each team on day 2), MDJRC Blue won the team championship!
