Delano Area Community Foundation Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for the Delano area community through grants and initiatives.

The Delano Area Community Foundation (DACF) is an endowment fund created to benefit the greater community by building a constant source of capital and income to meet the needs and interests of the Delano area far into the future. In partnership with the Initiative Foundation, a group of local residents provides leadership in carrying out the goals of the fund. Our goals are to:

-Foster an inviting place to live that promotes a vital and growing community

Spots still available! We're celebrating Delano Sesquicentennial - 150th Celebration all year with history-focused day trips. We're supported in part with a grant from the Delano Area Community Foundation.

Hocokata Ti Cultural Center - Shakopee
Thursday, March 19 - Van departs Delano at 9 a.m., $25 cost.
Learn about local history and Native culture at the Mdewakanton Sioux Community's cultural center and gathering place. On this guided tour, visitors will learn about traditional Dakota heritage, language, and history.
Lunch afterward on your own at a local restaurant.

We love getting to support initiatives like this in the Delano community!

We're celebrating the Delano Sesquicentennial - 150th Celebration with a series of day trips to historic and cultural sites around the state!
Here's the first few trips from our year-long series.
Trips are open to the general public - please register by contacting the senior center.
Thank you to the Delano Area Community Foundation for their support of this initiative. Because of their grant, we are able to offer these trips at a discount.
