Delano Little League

Celebrating 75 years in 2014, Little League® has been part of the fabric of society for communities around the world such as Delano for nine decades. As Little League has evolved, the basic goal remains the same as it did in 1939, to give the children of the world a game that provides fundamental principles (sportsmanship, fair play and teamwork) they can use to become good citizens. Little League’s 75th Anniversary is a true testament to the hard work and dedication that millions of volunteers put in to ensure that all children have a positive Little League experience, on and off the field. Newly elected board for 2014-2015: On September 23, 2014 Delano Little League held it’s annual election and several new board members were elected. President: Andrew Mosqueda Vice President: Jamill Vieth Secretary: Rafale Pereida Treasurer: Gene Garaygordobil Player agent: Eric Boles Safety officer: Chris Carrillo Member at Large ( Coaching Coordinator) : Sal Dimas The board will be installed during the next monthly meeting on October 7, 2014 and looks forward to implementing new innovative programs and strengthing the integrity of our program program. Little League divisions and age limits are as follows: Tee-Ball – boys and girls 4 1/2 to 6 years old Girls Rookies – 7, 8 and 9 years old. Girls Minors – 10, 11 and 12 years old. Girls Majors – 13 through 16 years old (to begin in mid-May). Boys Rookies – 7 and 8 years old. Boys Minors – 9 and 10 years old.
