Today, the world begins the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, and at the International Justice Organization, we are joining this global call with one clear message:
Violence is preventable — but only if we face it together.
Across Central Asia, Eastern Europe, and within migrant communities in the United States, we meet women and girls who carry the weight of abuse, coercion, discrimination, and trafficking. Their stories are powerful, but too often they remain invisible — hidden behind fear, stigma, or lack of support.
What We’re Seeing
Gender-based violence is rising worldwide:
— More migrant women report exploitation and unsafe working conditions
— Survivors struggle to access services across borders
— Harmful social norms silence victims instead of protecting them
— Online abuse is spreading faster than ever
These aren’t distant tragedies. These are our clients, our partners, our neighbors.
What IJO Is Doing
During these 16 Days, our team and partners in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and the U.S. are working to:
✨ Support migrant women experiencing violence
✨ Strengthen referral pathways between NGOs and government services
✨ Provide legal guidance for survivors of exploitation and trafficking
✨ Facilitate safe spaces for dialogue, training, and community support
✨ Lift the voices of women whose courage deserves to be heard
Your Voice Matters
If you believe in dignity, justice, and safety, you are part of this movement.
You can help by:
🔸 Sharing our message
🔸 Speaking out against violence in your community
🔸 Supporting survivors with compassion
🔸 Following and amplifying our work
🔸 Contributing to IJO if you feel called to support
Even one person choosing to act can change the path for someone who feels alone.
Together, We Create Safety
And we stand with every survivor who has not yet been heard.
