Doesn't that stamped concrete look beautiful? That's the entryway for the new community center. Thank you Hick's Concrete for the beautiful work!

And we've got walls up!! It's starting to look like an actual building now 🙌

10/10/2026

Here's Gabriel and Daniel working hard to get the walls standing on our new community building. It's happening!!! Gonna look like a building real soon 🤩

A preview of the Dodd Gear knife in the auction. What a beauty! If you're interested, be sure to join the Southeast Blade Traders group and mark your calendar for 10/15. All proceeds of the auction go to Post 128 and our new community building 🙏

🔪 Knife lovers, this one's for Post 128!

Justin Pearcy of Tri-County Concrete (yes, the same Justin who donated concrete for our new building!) runs Southeast Blade Traders, a private Facebook group for buying and trading knives. Every Thursday they hold an auction, and next Thursday, October 15th, every dollar goes to Build 128. 🎗️

What's up for grabs:
✅ At least 79 knives, with bids starting at $1
✅ Case, Barlow, Boker and more
✅ Fillet knives to pocket knives
✅ Antiques (one dates to 1920!) to knives made this year
✅ No reserve. Everything goes!

How it works:
1️⃣ Join Southeast Blade Traders NOW. There's an approval process, and we don't want you to miss out! ➡ Find the group here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/764388067822592/
2️⃣ Be active on Facebook Thursday, October 15th. Each knife gets its own post, and you bid in the comments.
3️⃣ Win it, pay for it, it's yours! Once your payment goes through (Venmo, PayPal or cash), the knife is yours. Pick up locally or ship anywhere in the U.S.

A big thank you to Mammoth Mike Newland for donating a knife, and to blacksmith Dodd Gear for donating a custom-made knife! 🙌

Supporting our soldiers never ends. 🎗️

We're taking a moment to remember the Family Support Group's donation in honor of 1SG John Lewis "Sully" Sullender. Gifts like theirs are laying the groundwork for a community building our whole hometown can be proud of.

Here's where things stand:
✅ Foundation poured (smooth as glass)
✅ Power on (currently powering one very lonely pole)
⬜ Actual building (still working on that part 😅)

We've got the floor. We've got the electricity. We just need some walls and a roof, and a few more good people to help us get there!

Smooth operators, reporting for duty! 😎

A few weeks back, our crew poured and polished 4,000 square feet of foundation so smooth you could ice skate on it (please don't - we checked and Legion insurance says no) ⛸️🚫

Right now it's the fanciest slab in Decatur County, hosting exactly zero events. The foundation's ready. The power's ready. The only thing missing is the building, and that's where you come in!

Help us lay it on smooth:
🎟️ Buy a raffle ticket
💵 Donate any amount at americanlegionpost128.org/donate
🔨 Volunteer your time, tools, or talents

Just another day of making history. Join us! 🇺🇸

We'll be at the Fairgrounds every night this week from 5-9 selling ice cream. Would love to see you there! Besides our ice cream (a reason to visit on its own), the expo is pretty fun with animal shows, dancers, a tractor parade, and concessions. Will we see you there?

The Tennessee River Agriculture Exposition (TRAE) gets started this evening as exhibits may be entered from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Decatur County Fairgrounds. The Decatur County Junior Livestock Sponsorship Auction will begin at 6 p.m. See the attached for a full listing of the week’s events.

Nothing happens without power, and we've had it on site for a few weeks now! ⚡

Right now it's powering... a pole. A very proud, very lonely pole. 😂

The groundwork is done. The foundation is poured. The power is ready and waiting. All that's missing is the community building, and honestly, the pole is getting impatient.

Make your power move:
🎟️ Buy a raffle ticket (feeling lucky? Sparks could fly!)
💵 Donate any amount at americanlegionpost128.org/donate
🔨 Volunteer your time, tools, or talents

Let's give this outlet something to plug into. Veterans. Community. A stronger tomorrow. 🇺🇸
