Prakash and Shalu Rawat have joined the Baptist World family as missionaries! Prakash was born in Central Nepal in a Hindu home. When his mother came to know Christ, she often tried to share the Gospel with him, but it wasn’t until he moved to England for college that God got a hold of his heart, and he surrendered to Christ. When Prakash returned to Nepal, he shared his newfound faith with his high-school sweetheart, Shalu. She placed her faith and trust in Christ as well. After the Rawats received further Bible training, God used them to plant a church and an orphanage in Nepal. They moved to Canada, serving for several years in Grace Baptist Church in Surrey, British Columbia. There, they sensed God’s leading to return to Nepal. We feel blessed to have the privilege to serve this faithful couple in Nepal.

Orientation 2026 was an incredible experience! The last week of April was filled with countless blessings as we gathered for our orientation seminar and trained our newest missionaries. We loved being hosted by Southland Christian Ministries in Ringgold, Louisiana. We enjoyed the close fellowship with their staff and the warm and supportive environment they provided for our missionary family. Their hospitality and attention to detail ensured that all our needs were met, allowing us to focus on the important work of equipping our missionaries for their upcoming ministries. Throughout the week, we participated in various workshops, challenging preaching, and relaxing activities designed to encourage and prepare our missionaries for the challenges ahead.

Mike and Jennifer Fiocchi (Albania) are praising the Lord for a successful week of Operation Renewed Hope clinics and are praying for follow-up opportunities with the patients who made decisions or showed interest in a relationship with the Lord.

Join us in praying for our missionary children as they grow in their personal walk with the Lord, for the Lord to give them strong friendships and encouragement. Please pray for protection over their hearts and minds as they navigate frequent change, transitions, and life between cultures.

Please join us in welcoming Daniel and Bethany Sanders as some of our newest missionaries. Daniel was adopted by American missionaries who operated a children’s home in Costa Rica; he came to Christ as a young teen. While on a mission trip to Panama, he surrendered his life to full-time ministry and completed Bible college in Costa Rica. Bethany came to know Christ at a young age and was burdened for foreign missions after taking several mission trips. As a single lady, she felt the Lord’s leading to work with missionaries in Costa Rica at the same children’s home where Daniel’s parents ministered. Together, they have had the opportunity to plant a Spanish-language ministry in their sending church in Illinois and now sense the Lord's leading to return to Costa Rica to plant churches.

MISSIONARY OF THE WEEK UPDATE:
Barry and Tina Beiles (Spain) are rejoicing that the first few months of this year have been a beautiful reminder of God’s faithfulness in every season. From sweet times of fellowship and opportunities to connect with families, to His protection through difficult circumstances, they have seen His hand at work again and again. They are especially thankful for new faces, growing relationships, and hearts that are open to hearing the truth of the Gospel. Thank you for praying and being part of what God is doing! Please continue to pray for receptive hearts and for His work to continue in the days ahead.
