Our Story
JD has seen this situation acted out in her own life. Her 5 grandchildren were removed suddenly from their home and brought to her. She did not have ANY of the essentials needed to care for these children. JD would like to help kids by providing underwear, socks, backpacks, tooth brushes, etc.
In addition, she would like to give each child “something new” (bible, Christian kids book, encouraging note, etc.) to impart the love of God. JD has noticed her kids struggle to “trust” (Will there be enough food? Am I safe? Who will take care of me?). It is important to her to teach kids that God is good and that they can ALWAYS trust Him. Even when life is hard and grown-ups make bad choices, God is good AND loves them. As JD and her family have been discussing this ministry, the kids decided on the name Lollipop Closet. The name makes them happy and joyful—and that is what they want released into the lives of other children.
We want every child that receives a gift from Lollipop Closet to feel special. Let’s get started!!!
