Join your neighbors to clean up several hot spots around White Oak Hills on Saturday, Aug. 22. Meet at 10 a.m. at the Delano-Line Park gazebo on Dusty Ln. DeKalb Beautification will provide some supplies, but please bring gloves and additional trash bags.

Everybody wants to live in a neighborhood they love, and that takes neighbors stepping up in little and big ways. Over the years, we’ve had generous folks organize garden parties, plant sales, spring picnics, yard sales, holiday decorating contests, Thanksgiving “Gobble Wobble” walks, tree save workdays, neighborhood clean-ups, and more. We’re asking for YOU to step up and help organize ONE White Oak Hills activity each year – just one. You could dream up your own plan or assist with one of the ideas below. Think how much livelier our neighborhood would be when dozens of neighbors help lead ONE initiative each year! Email [email protected] or [email protected] with the subject line “One for WOH” by June 7. We hope you’re ready to bring more good to our neighborhood!

Join other White Oak Hills neighbors this Saturday with your gloves, pruners, loppers, and saws to help save dozens of trees in Delano-Line Park currently endangered by choking ivy. Meet at 10 a.m. at the Dusty Ln. gazebo. Come on out and show some Valentine’s love to our park’s trees this Saturday!

On Saturday, February 14, a crew of dedicated volunteers will join together with our gloves, pruners, loppers, and saws to save dozens of trees in Delano-Line Park that are endangered by choking ivy. Let’s start our Valentine’s Day by showing some love for the trees that give our neighborhood its name. We’ll gather on Saturday, Feb. 14 at 10 a.m. under the gazebo at the corner of Alston Dr. and Dusty Ln. Register at the address provided!

We spent months building the plan, now we get to work to implement our vision. Please join us for an exciting meeting to get plugged into the future of Friends of Delano Line Park. We will start setting the trajectory of the next year as we work towards providing a safe, inclusive, and accessible space for respite in nature, environmental stewardship, and neighborhood connection.
