Staff are getting things prepared for our traveling summer library programs, so today was costume try-on day for our reptilian employees! 🐢

We travel to many towns during the summer, so check with your local library to see if we're on the schedule so you can meet these two costumed cuties in person!

We're excited to be heading into our local Decatur Park District parks to share with our youngest community members the wonder of nature in their own backyards!

Thank you to the Heart of Illinois Community Foundation for making this project possible!

Every adult who loves the outdoors can trace it back to a moment — a first firefly, a first trail, spotting and identifying their first bird. We hope this program will be that moment for these kids. 🌳

We’re thrilled to welcome the “Nature in Your Neighborhood” program with the Macon County Conservation District! Starting this June, Kids will explore the natural beauty right in their local park.
