What a relief! We thought we were the only ones who could see him! 👀

Jokes aside, we love when our young visitors add their observations to our Bird Sightings board! What's your best guess on what the "big bird" they saw might have been? 🦃🦅

We're excited to be heading into our local Decatur Park District parks to share with our youngest community members the wonder of nature in their own backyards!

Thank you to the Heart of Illinois Community Foundation for making this project possible!

Every adult who loves the outdoors can trace it back to a moment — a first firefly, a first trail, spotting and identifying their first bird. We hope this program will be that moment for these kids. 🌳

We’re thrilled to welcome the “Nature in Your Neighborhood” program with the Macon County Conservation District! Starting this June, Kids will explore the natural beauty right in their local park.

Special Thanks to the Heart of Illinois Community Foundation for their generous support in making this program possible.

We've received the print versions at the Rock Springs Nature Center and are in the process of updating things for the e-newsletter version. We will post an update when they are up and running! In the meantime, what a perfect reason to stop and visit us at the Nature Center and pick up a paper copy!

*Quick note that if you are one of our e-newsletter subscribers, we are using a new provider to send those out! There might be a small delay while we make sure everything has transferred over correctly. We thank you for your patience!
