B/Change is an e-commerce focused company that designs, produces, and sells a variety of consumer goods, with each product sold promoting and partnering with a related charitable and/or social cause doing good works in the community. The slogan "B/Change By Giving" embodies the company and it's goals - to provide high quality, intelligently designed consumer goods that allows buyers the ability to at the same time give back through each purchase made to a worthy cause.
The company's first product, a set of 12 garden flags featuring beautiful original designs by various U.S. artists, launched in July of 2018. For the company's initial product offering, it will be partnering with the Michigan Urban Farming Initiative & the Greening of Detroit to donate 5% of net profits from product sales to support their community initiatives.
Among their many initiatives, these include donating fresh produce from their urban farms to low-income residents in surrounding neighborhoods, offering hands-on skilled youth training and mentorship opportunities, and replacing trees lost to turn-of-the century rise in manufacturing planting trees throughout the metro-Detroit area to replace those lost to turn of the century manufacturing operations.
