We are THRILLED to announce that SEA has ratified the tentative agreement by an overwhelming margin. We look forward to the School Board’s meeting this Thursday, where they are expected to finalize and ratify the contract on their end!

We could NOT be more excited to share this news! Let’s hear it for one of Springfield and SEA’s best… Mrs. Damato! What a perfect recognition for a GREAT teacher and member! 💙💛

“Independence Blue Cross (IBX) selected Sarah Damato, a Special Education teacher at Springfield High School in Delaware County, as the third winner of the recently launched IBX Honor Roll campaign. The IBX Honor Roll is a joint initiative with the Philadelphia Phillies that recognizes exemplary teachers in the Philadelphia five-county and New Jersey regions.”

TEACHERS: In your reflections on the school year, and while you prep for the year to come, we invite you to DM us pictures of some of your best lessons to share out to the community of SSD.

Here we see an engaging and thoughtfully designed lesson from one of our high school teachers, Mr. Hermann. Students in his course were asked to explore sunspots and make appropriate calculations (using specialized equipment for safety, of course). A few other teachers took the opportunity to learn beside them, as well.
