Today wasn’t “just a festival.”

It was a place where people recognized pieces of themselves.
For some families, it was the first time they’d seen their culture celebrated publicly in their own town.
For others, it was the first time they’d ever been introduced to Asian cultures through music, dance, food, and tradition.

Today, strangers became friends. Children saw themselves represented. Grandparents heard familiar songs. Communities came together—not because of where we come from, but because of the joy we found in sharing it with one another.

This was never just about putting on an event.

It was about creating a space where everyone felt welcome, where cultures could be celebrated with pride, and where memories could be made together.

Even when the rain came, it couldn’t wash away the smiles, the laughter, or the love that filled Davis Park today. If anything, it reminded us that the best moments are the ones people choose to stay for.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
To every performer who shared their talents.
To every vendor who believed in our vision.
To our sponsors and donors who made this festival possible.
To the monks who blessed our festival and community.
To our volunteers who poured countless hours into making today a reality.

This was the very first Champa Asian Fest.

At this time, the festival is still on as scheduled from 12:00 PM–6:00 PM at Davis Park.

We’ll continue monitoring the forecast, and any performance updates will be announced throughout the event based on weather conditions. All vendors, food, cultural exhibits, and activities will be ready to welcome you—rain or shine! ☔️

Just in case, bring an umbrella or rain jacket, and come celebrate a day of food, culture, music, and community with us. We can’t wait to see you! 💛🌺
