❤️ We Couldn’t Do It Without Our Volunteers ❤️

Every day, Halifax Urban Ministries serves more than 300 hot meals throughout Volusia County, and none of it would be possible without the dedication of our incredible volunteers and community partners.

Today, we were honored to have volunteers from St. James Episcopal Church join us in serving meals and sharing kindness with our neighbors in need. Their willingness to give their time and serve others helps make a real difference in the lives of those we support every day.

We are deeply grateful for St. James Episcopal Church and the many churches, organizations, and individuals who help us fulfill our mission. Together, we are providing hope, nourishment, and compassion to our community.

Thank you for being the hands and feet of service. ❤️

Meet Anne Evans 💙

Anne Evans began her journey with Halifax Urban Ministries in 2010 when she joined our team at the Bridge of Hope. Her dedication to serving our community and passion for our mission were evident from day one.

In 2014, Anne took her commitment to HUM even further by joining our Board of Directors. She later served as Board Chair, helping guide the organization through years of growth and change while ensuring we remained focused on our mission and the people we serve.

Anne’s leadership, vision, and unwavering support have played an important role in strengthening Halifax Urban Ministries and expanding our impact throughout the community. Her belief that every person deserves dignity, hope, and opportunity continues to inspire those around her.

We are incredibly grateful for Anne’s years of service and the lasting difference she has made in the lives of so many.

A huge thank you to Zachary, Dakota, and the team at Workspace Collective for their generosity and support!

During the month of May, Workspace Collective hosted a food drive benefiting Halifax Urban Ministries, and we are incredibly grateful for their commitment to helping our neighbors in need.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dakota through the Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce Weekly Business Group, and I’m so thankful that connection led to this wonderful partnership. From the beginning, it was clear that Workspace Collective Daytona is passionate about making a positive impact in our community.

🌟 A Success Story Years in the Making 🌟

In March 2022, Angela and her grandchildren came to Hope Place seeking stability and a fresh start. During their time with us, Angela took advantage of many of the resources available to families, including enrolling her granddaughter, Bella, in the weekly dance classes offered on our campus.

What began as an opportunity to explore a new interest quickly blossomed into a true passion. Through her hard work, dedication, and talent, Bella earned a scholarship to continue her dance training.

Today, we are thrilled to celebrate Bella as she takes the stage in a ballet performance—a remarkable achievement and a testament to what can happen when children are given opportunities to learn, grow, and dream.

We are so proud of Bella and grateful to everyone who helps make programs like our dance classes possible. Stories like hers remind us that supportive services don’t just meet immediate needs—they help create brighter futures.

Congratulations, Bella! We can’t wait to see where your talent takes you next. 💜🩰
