Who We Are
As a coalition of faith communities and other organizations and individuals committed to immigrant justice, the Miami Valley Immigration Coalition is committed to promoting comprehensive, humane immigration reform and radical systemic change by working with and on behalf of those who are affected by unjust immigration laws, policies and practices that do not reflect these higher values:

Dignity of the person
Unity of the family
Richness in diversity
Equitable treatment
Freedom in the pursuit of purpose
Democratic process

What We Do
We come together as individuals and organizations to:
Amplify each other’s voices as migrants, service providers, educators, and activists. Open spaces for partnering, sharing, and building power. Accompany migrants as they seek full access and inclusion in Miami Valley communities. Build mutual relationships within and between communities to act in solidarity for progressive change. Support leadership training and community organizing in and with migrant communities. Educate and engage our larger community in support of just immigration policies. Advocate for humane immigration reform that promotes family unity and respects the inherent dignity of every person. Linktree: https://linktr.ee/mvicdayton

Thank you The Barrel House !

We’re teaming up with a ragtag group of do-gooders who are collecting and distributing some basics for some of our most vulnerable and at-risk neighbors. If you’re interested and able to help, we’re currently collecting (new and unopened): cooking oil, 5lb bags of rice, instant coffee, sugar, salt/pepper, cooking spices, toilet paper, laundry detergent, dishwashing liquid, deoderant, razors, and shampoo.

We have a collection tote in the back hallway - please leave donations there and we’ll get ‘em in the hands of the helpers.

Your help will have a direct, positive impact on the most vulnerable members of our community ❤️

From our friends at Gem City Action: "Customs and Border Protection are hosting a Career Expo at the Marriott at the University of Dayton on May 12th, 13th & 14th ‼️‼️‼️

Join and many other local orgs and individuals in protesting this presence at the Marriott (which is co-owned by the University of Dayton and Concord Hospitality based in NC).

University of Dayton President Eric Spina was contacted about the upcoming job expo and said that both UD and the Marriott don’t handle bookings and therefore aren’t responsible, and that CBP and ICE are two different organizations, “both of which have real and important jobs done by many good people”.
