Who We Are
As a coalition of faith communities and other organizations and individuals committed to immigrant justice, the Miami Valley Immigration Coalition is committed to promoting comprehensive, humane immigration reform and radical systemic change by working with and on behalf of those who are affected by unjust immigration laws, policies and practices that do not reflect these higher values:

Dignity of the person
Unity of the family
Richness in diversity
Equitable treatment
Freedom in the pursuit of purpose
Democratic process

What We Do
We come together as individuals and organizations to:
Amplify each other’s voices as migrants, service providers, educators, and activists. Open spaces for partnering, sharing, and building power. Accompany migrants as they seek full access and inclusion in Miami Valley communities. Build mutual relationships within and between communities to act in solidarity for progressive change. Support leadership training and community organizing in and with migrant communities. Educate and engage our larger community in support of just immigration policies. Advocate for humane immigration reform that promotes family unity and respects the inherent dignity of every person. Linktree: https://linktr.ee/mvicdayton

[All $15,000 has been raised!!! Amazing!!!]. Lots of people unjustly in immigration detention do not get a bond set. When someone does get a bond set, we can actually free them from ICE jail by working together to raise the bond. Ahmed has two young kids and a wife waiting for him here in Ohio. Let's all pitch in and free him!

Please join us on May 30 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm for this interfaith prayer vigil outside the Butler County Jail. The abuses and the outrages by immigration agencies continue to escalate! We will gather together and say no!

On May 30, 2026, 3-5pm, please join Butler County Immigrant Justice, the Task Force on United Methodist Immigration Ministries of Ohio, The Interfaith Center at Miami University, Ignite Peace, the Amos Project’s Black Women’s Health Initiative, the Coalition for Concerned Citizens, and the Miami Valley Immigration Coalition for a peaceful, interfaith prayer vigil on the sidewalk and public space outside the Butler County Jail (705 Hanover St., Hamilton, OH 45011).

We stand in solidarity with people held in ICE detention in the Butler County Jail and throughout the United States, and we call for:
- In-person/contact visitation for clergy seeking to care for ICE detainees in the Butler County Jail
- An end to ICE detention
- Transparency on detention facility funding
- An end to INA § 287(g) agreements
