SAFETY REMINDER: This video, shared by a neighbor, shows a person running down a driveway near a car at 3:48 a.m. this past Sunday on Warrington Road in our neighborhood. It’s a great time to share the following safety tips from the Dayton Police Department:
1. Remove keys and personal property such as wallets, purses, electronic devices, etc. from parked vehicles - even ones parked in a garage.
2. If property must be stored in the vehicle, stow it in the trunk, locked glove box, or at least out of sight and lock the vehicle.
3. Never leave valuables in plain view, even if the vehicle is locked. Loose change can be enough motivation for a break-in.

Annual Patterson Park Garage Sale, Saturday, June 13, 8 am to 4 pm, multiple families will take part. Clothes, furniture, household goods, and more!

You can find the sales by driving or walking around the neighborhood, which is located on the south side of Dayton, starting at Patterson Road. From Patterson Road, it’s easy to enter the rest of the neighborhood from Devonshire Road, Hampshire Road or Berkshire Road. From Shroyer Road, it’s easy to enter the neighborhood on Gainsborough Road (next to Dairy Queen) or from Devonshire Road. Hope to see you tomorrow!

KITTEN UPDATE: All 5 ARE SAFE, ADORABLE, AND IN NEED OF PERMANENT HOMES. Thanks to several kind-hearted people the five kittens left in and around Jane Newcom Park on Memorial Day weekend are safe. The three kitties found inside a cat carrier behind a home near the park were taken in by SICSA and will be available soon for adoption there. Please contact SICSA if you are interested in adopting one of these three kitties. The two kitties seen hiding along a fence row at the park are being cared for temporarily at a nearby home. If you are interested in adopting one of these kitties, please message us privately with your phone number so we can connect you to the people who have them. Thank you to all our neighbors who heard about these two kitties at the park and spent their time looking for them. You all are amazing!
