MORE KITTENS UPDATE #2??? Honestly, we have no idea how many kittens may have been dumped at or near Jane Newcom Park over the weekend, but one dumped kitten is one too many. It’s animal cruelty, plain and simple. Some neighbors reported seeing two kittens at the park. Another neighbor who lives close to the park said she found three kittens in a cat carrier behind her home. She is caring for these three but has an appointment to surrender them to SICSA. We don’t know for sure if the two seen at the park are two of the three found in the cat carrier or if the two are still wandering along the bike path. If you are at or near the park and you see kittens, please post the location here. Another neighbor might be willing to trap a kitten and take it home. A giant thank you goes out to all who who have been hunting for the kittens and offering to help. That’s one of the things I love about Patterson Park. We care about animals and we help each other out.
KITTEN NEEDS HELP! A neighbor reported seeing a small black and white kitten alone and scared near the children’s play area at Jane Newcom Park just a few minutes ago. The neighbor is unable to take the kitten because of her other animals. Do we have any kitty rescuers who can help out this kitten? Thanks, neighbors.
