𝗔𝗶𝗿 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗖𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱

The Air Force canceled its premiere acquisition seminar and collaborative meeting with industry for 2025 to comply with Trump administration efficiency directives, the Air Force Materiel Command’s Life Cycle Management Center said March 11. The Life Cycle Industry Days 2025 event was to be held the Convention Center in Dayton, Ohio, July 28 and 29.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth says that he believes Elon Musk and his so-called government efficiency team can find "billions of dollars" in savings within the military and he is hopeful that the billionaire will come to the Department of Defense.
"We welcome DOGE to the Pentagon, and I hope to welcome Elon to the Pentagon very soon," Hegseth said Tuesday in Germany, raising concerns that Musk's ongoing and potentially illegal effort to slash and burn the federal government is now taking aim at the country's largest agency and the armed services.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on Friday pledged to demonstrate to China that the United States will continue supporting its allies in the Indo-Pacific region.

The U.S., however, is not going to create unnecessary conflict with Beijing, Hegseth said in a question-and-answer session during a town hall with Defense Department personnel.

𝘿𝙚𝙛𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙚 𝙎𝙚𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙊𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝘼𝙞𝙧 𝙁𝙤𝙧𝙘𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙋𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝘼𝙡𝙡 𝙍𝙚𝙤𝙧𝙜 𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth directed the Department of the Air Force to pause all planning related to its “Re-Optimization for Great Power Competition” effort—a move that leaves a sweeping plan to transform the Air Force and Space Force in limbo.

How quickly the pause may be lifted is also uncertain but could take months. President Donald Trump has nominated Troy E. Meink for Air Force Secretary and Matthew Lohmeier for Undersecretary, but both men still have to undergo confirmation hearings before the Senate Armed Services Committee and be approved by the full Senate.

President-elect Donald Trump will nominate Dr. Troy E. Meink to become the next Secretary of the Air Force, he announced Jan. 16.

Dr. Meink currently serves as principal deputy director of the National Reconnaissance Office, the secretive spy satellite agency, and has served in the Air Force as both an officer and civilian.
