Dayton Women in the Word is a non-profit women's ministry serving Dayton, OH and the surrounding areas. Our mission is to purposefully present women with the Word of God; giving them the encouragement to behold it, the tools to understand it and the training to share it.

"So Jesus said to the jews who had believed him, 'If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples' - John 8:31

"I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing." - John 15:1-5

He is our nourishment and sustenance. We abide in relationship with Him.

May we NEVER STOP meditating on WHO HE IS. He has the power of life and death. ONLY HE offers eternal life.

John 5:21 - "For as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to whom He will."

Romans 8:11 - "If the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you."

Revelation 21:4 - "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, AND DEATH SHALL BE NO MORE, neither shall there be any mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away."

What an awesome OBN! 57 women from across Dayton gathered at First Christian Church for our Intro to the Prophets workshop. Huge thanks to FCC for the warm hospitality and to our founder, Natalie Herr, for guiding us through the major and minor prophets with clarity, humor, and heart. We’re grateful to see so many women opening their Bibles together to the glory of our Great Shepherd and King. Hallelujah!👏👏👏
