Hey all...so, The Nautical Theme's Get Somewhere EP Release Celebration is coming up on Thursday, June 29 at Yellow Cab Tavern. Over the past couple weeks you've learned the story behind the EP title and artwork, but we have another really special thing that we want to do to mark this collection of songs…

We’re excited to announce that we’re going to be raising money at the release show for the Greater Dayton Brain Health Foundation. The mission of the Greater Dayton Brain Health Foundation is to promote the brain health of all citizens within the Greater Dayton area by providing counsel and financial support to ensure ready access to brain health services.

Over the past three years we've been really struggling to get somewhere as a band. The weight of life and work expectations took a toll on our mental health in different ways. Sometimes it felt like our music was coming to a screeching halt. This is a big deal because for decades now music has been vital for our mental health and wellbeing. Music is life-giving and speaks a language that heals...more transcendent than words. It feels like home in a lot of ways.

The mission of the Greater Dayton Brain Health Foundation is important to us because the availability of brain/mental health, self-care, and community-care resources is crucial for our region to thrive. There's still a stigma around mental health struggles, but we believe that everyone is worthy of care. We know the struggle, just like so many others.

So, we want to personally invite you to come celebrate with us on June 29 and raise money for this amazing foundation! We're going to celebrate life on this big, amazing, beautiful planet. 🌎 Celebrate friendship and music. 💙 Celebrate that we got somewhere…and we would love to see you there, too. Peace, friends.
