Here's something else to consider in the meantime: the American electorate has not spoken this clearly in over 100 years. 2020 will mark the largest voter turnout since 1900, with a record-breaking 160 million votes cast -- all during a once-in-a-century pandemic. And we are making our preference crystal clear: Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have already won at least 3 million more votes nationally than Donald Trump.

It was a long Election Day and night. A record 5.8 million Ohioans turned out to vote this election, and there are still more ballots that need to be counted. If you voted by mail, we urge you to check on your ballot to make sure there were not any errors. Use the absentee ballot tracker on voteohio.gov to ensure your absentee ballot is accepted for counting by November 10. Read our Ballot Counting FAQ to better understand Ohio’s ballot counting process.

In person voting experiences varied throughout the state. While some voters enjoyed a relatively simple voting process, voters in other locations encountered numerous barriers to the ballot box. Disputes over access to curbside voting, a 50% uptick in intimidation and electioneering calls, and long lines during Early Vote highlight the absolute need to improve the voting process. Listen to the full rundown directly from OVRC advocates in our Post Election News Briefing on Facebook!
